Becoming a contributor?

Hello All!

I have some patches I would like to submit, but I'm not sure what the
process is. How does one become a contributor? I'm also willing to
take on some of the bugs in JIRA.

That would be awesome, any help is appreciated !
How about for now you attach patches to the JIRA and I'll apply them ?
And feel free to ask any questions here :-)
Btw, I'm currently working on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DDLUTILS-245
