Summary: Httpd 2.2 Make Fails with libtool: link: warning:
                    library `/usr/local/apr-httpd//lib/libapr-1.la' was
                    moved.
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P5
         Component: Build
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: Ryan.Edwards@vesdia.com
                CC: Ryan.Edwards@vesdia.com

I am trying to install httpd 2.2 on my redhat 9 box.

I have followed the instructions at
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/install.html#requirements to install apr 1.2
and apr-util 1.2 by hand. Both processes complete sucessfully and I can see the
files generated at /usr/local/apr-httpd and /usr/local/apr-httpd-util.

When I try to run the make for httpd it fails with the following error.

Bug occurs upon each attempt to run make.

The expected behaviour is a correctly installed version of apache.

This is a redhat 9 box with apache 2.0 previously installed.

------- Additional Comments From chip@force-elite.com 2006-06-21 09:02 -------
This is something to do with moving paths of installed libtool objects, and not
a problem with the build itself. Please rebuild apr & apr-util with the prefix
you want it in, and then point httpd at that.
