[jira] [Created] (INFRA-3931) *[^n][^a].apachecon.com sites are down

*[^n][^a].apachecon.com sites are down
--------------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-3931
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-3931
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: DNS
            Reporter: Shane Curcuru

Nick Burch on planners* notes that some of the DNS entries for non-current conference (i.e. not the na11.apachecon.com site), like us.ac.com and eu.ac.com, among others, probably need to be fixed or tweaked, possibly to point to http://archive.apachecon.com/ which comes from https://svn.apache.org/repos/infra/apachecon/archive.apachecon.com/

This is the one week that I really *needed* to see this content, too. Sigh.

Note that connecting to http://archive.apachecon.com/ itself eventually fails for me, after a number of apparent redirects through na.ac.com (then timesout).

-----------------------------------

http://na.apachecon.com/ and eu.apachecon.com and us.apachecon.com seems to be hitting the wrong vhost - we're getting the main www.apache.org site back for them

na, eu and us should all be aliases for archive.apachecon.com

And possibly related to the vhost issue, the svn pubsub seems to have stalled (changes that were committed to svn yesterday aren't showing up on the live site)

To confirm, www.apachecon.com and na11.apachecon.com both point to external services, and should remain unchanged

archive.apachecon.com points to an infra managed machine, serving content from svn

eu.apachecon.com, us.apachecon.com and na.apachecon.com currently point to an external machine. These should be changed to point to the same box as archive.apachecon.com, and the httpd config should be tweaked to make them hit the same vhost

[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-3931) *[^n][^a].apachecon.com sites are down

Gavin commented on INFRA-3931:
------------------------------

I've added those aliases in.

It should be noted that apachecon.eu DNS points to crowdvine servers so an alias entry on ours currently makes no difference.
Please go through all aliases and either confirm they do what you want, or tell me if I need to be changing DNS too.
