Alias Name field Limited to 24 characters
Summary: Alias Name field Limited to 24 characters
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: 5.0.14
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Webapps:Administration
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: gsexton@mhsoftware.com
Using the administration application, if you change to a virtual host and select
"Create New Aliases" from the "Host Actions" dropdown, the "Alias Name" text box
has a maxlength value of 24.
This is too short for all but the most trivial cases.
The length limitation should be increased to at least 128, or eliminated entirely.
