Using the 0.23.6 version (not sure if it applies to 2.x or trunk) I get a warning running hadoop fs -cat.

$ hadoop fs -cat input

13/02/06 01:33:04 WARN util.NativeCodeLoader: Unable to load native-hadoop library for your platform... using builtin-java classes where applicable
