Difference between Trubine and Struts?

Today, I heard about Turbine project in Apache.
I cannot read detail document about Turbine, but Turbine project says that it provides application developement framework using MVC pattern(Model 2 + 1?) like Struts. What is the relation between Turbine and Struts? Is Turbine an alternative against Struts?

If so, what are outmost features against Turbine in Struts?
