Torque for marshaling/unmarshaling

If I create an XML schema and then create an object model and database
from it, does Torque have the capability to unmarshal an XML document
that conforms to the schema into Java objects and store them in the
database, and in reverse to marshal objects from the database back into
an XML file? (Kind of like with JAXB, but from the database).
