   Newt generated some false positives when comparing the desired repo version against an actual version.  The problem was that unspecified version parts were set to 0.  Thus, the following two versions would compare equal to one another:
   
   * 1-latest
    * 1.0-latest
   
   The fix is to set unspecified version parts to a special value (-1).
