[Bug 123482] New: unable to access files
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123482
Bug ID: 123482
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: unable to access files
Product: General
Version: 4.0.1
Hardware: Mac
OS: Mac OSX, all
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: blocker
Priority: P3
Component: ui
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: cjsutherland3@gmail.com
CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org
All of a sudden when I open OO a window pops up and says: restore windowsThe
application “OpenOffice” unexpectedly quit while trying to restore its windows.
Do you want to try to restore its windows again?
There are two button to choose from; don't restore windows and restore windows.
Nothing happens when I click on either one. I can not open any OO files, nor
can I print from OO. I can create a new document, but can't do anything with
it. I did re-install the newest version of OO but this still happens. Please
help!

On recent versions of Mac OS X it might happen, especially after a "Force
quit", that the following error message appears: "Restore Windows - The
application OpenOffice.org was forced to quit while trying to restore its
windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows again?". If you cannot get
rid of it: Option-click the "Go" menu; choose "Library" from the menu to open
the folder in the Finder; click on the folder "Saved Application State"; delete
the file "org.openoffice.script.savedState". See bug 119006 for more
information.
@cat: are you using OpenOffice 4.0.1?
