Yes, I have asked [~templedf] for access as contributor.
Thank you [~adam.antal] for the review. Yes, the default constructor isn't used anywhere as found by code inspection by IntelliJ. I have fixed the checkstyles issues as you mentioned above. Uploaded patch v002.
