[jira] [Created] (SAMZA-980) Automatically restart job containers on change in upstream partitioning

Chinmay Soman created SAMZA-980:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Automatically restart job containers on change in upstream partitioning
                 Key: SAMZA-980
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SAMZA-980
             Project: Samza
          Issue Type: Sub-task
            Reporter: Chinmay Soman
             Fix For: 0.10.1

With SAMZA-882 we now have a way of detecting if there has been a change in the upstream partitioning. We can use this trigger to automatically update the JobModel and restart the containers. This is useful to avoid any data loss (in case the job owner forgot to manually restart the job).
