[jira] [Created] (DIRSERVER-1809) Allow password policy changes to
take effect without server restart.
Carlo Accorsi created DIRSERVER-1809:
----------------------------------------
Summary: Allow password policy changes to take effect without server restart.
Key: DIRSERVER-1809
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1809
Project: Directory ApacheDS
Issue Type: Improvement
Affects Versions: 2.0.0-M10
Environment: Windows x64,
Reporter: Carlo Accorsi
Priority: Critical
When password policy changes are made these do not take effect until the server is restarted.
We are working on a UI that allows the creation and assignment of password policies. This would depend on having the running policy data updated when there are changes. I realize this could be a fair bit of work. If an interim solution would be to call some method that would refresh the running policies in memory, we could add code to support this. Thanks.
