[jira] [Created] (SOLR-4867) Admin UI - setting loglevel on root
throws RangeError
Stefan Matheis (steffkes) created SOLR-4867:
-----------------------------------------------
Summary: Admin UI - setting loglevel on root throws RangeError
Key: SOLR-4867
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-4867
Project: Solr
Issue Type: Bug
Components: web gui
Affects Versions: 4.3
Reporter: Stefan Matheis (steffkes)
Assignee: Stefan Matheis (steffkes)
Fix For: 5.0, 4.4
[~dboychuck] reported on #solr that the Page for Logging/Level only shows a spinning wheel w/o actually finishing at some time.
bq. Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded
was the error message which led me to the suggestion, that the javascript goes crazy while building up the loglevel tree.
the attached patch includes an additional check for an empty logger-name, which does not fix the root of the problem (will open another issue for that one) but at least avoid confusion because the page doesn't get loaded at all.
