[users@httpd] Different languages ?

Hello,

I may be going about this the wrong way but ... I know in X-windows
you can change your language settings very easily. By changing the font
language.

If I want to have a web site accessible in many languages can I have
apache server my standard English pages in other languages ?

Or is it the browsers responsibility to change the language on the page
to the local language setting ?

You have to recreate each page.

If you're asking if Apache can translate your pages to another language
the answer is NO. You have to do that.

I think that you'll need to recreate each page, anyway take a look inside
the '/error' subfolder of your Apache directory and you'll see an example of
content negotiation and includes with HTTP_xxxxx.html.var files.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply ... do you know of a way to have apache actually
display a English page in a different language ? Or do I still have to
recreate each page ?

The links below just provide info on how to server up the proper page
correct ? via a http header option ?

Michael.
