[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-327) Clarify the IP content and licensing
requirements for .form files
Craig L Russell created LEGAL-327:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Clarify the IP content and licensing requirements for .form files
Key: LEGAL-327
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-327
Project: Legal Discuss
Issue Type: Question
Reporter: Craig L Russell
The netbeans repository includes several files with suffix .form which are used in conjunction with a similarly-named .java file. The .java file is licensed under the standard Apache License 2.0.
The .form files are xml-formatted and are at least partly generated from a GUI.
Clearly the .form files have IP. How should these files be licensed? How should their license be advertised to the user?
