This solves the issue as it moves the horizontal scroll bar to the most left.
Even if it makes the display inconsistent (i.e an horizontal scroll bar has moved to the left by itself), but it may be accepted. Till we get the planning to compile using latest fixed version of sdk.

I hope you realize if we fix this it will be fix for Apache Flex 4.9 at the earliest. If this is a blocker for Adobe Flex 4.5 you really need to talk to Adobe support.

Thanks for this fix, when should this version be ready for use ?
In fact, it is what I come with, but I was not able to find a workaround with version that I am using (4.5.1)...
Regarding to the stack trace, it's obvious that changes should be done exclusively on AdvancedDataGridBaseEx.as, but this a framework class. All what I need is a workaround to overcome this error for the moment, as I am not ready to compile with latest fixed sdk.

The best suggestion I can make is that you move the change I made into your 4.5.1 sources and rebuild advancedgrids.swc. Otherwise this seems to work although it adjusts the horizontal scroll position when columns are made not visible.

FLEX-33272. RTE occurred while trying to hide columns of an AdvancedDataGrid having lockedColumnCount greater than 0 that was scrolled all the way over to the right.
When the columns were hidden the horizontalScrollPosition was no longer valid and visibleColumns got out of sync with the newly updated displayableColumns.
