Ubiquitous error - Error 500: parent is null?

I see this error all day long, it is provoked by so many different ways...
could someone please add more
debugging info to this error...maybe the line number of the jsp which
provokes it, the name of the component which
provokes it, a snippet of the html which provoked it, anything...please.

I've been having similar problems when I use Faces+Tiles.  If an error
is generated from one of my tiles includes, it almost always shows up
as a "Parent is null?" error.  Will this improve if I change to the
JspTilesViewHandler?
