VCL Menu translation in French (CA)
Hello,
I am newcomer in this post. I began to test vcl since few weeks.
It is a very good and great project and i want to thank all those who haved worked on it so far.
I am a french speaking and i apologize for the quality of my english.
I am in the phase of finishing the translation of vcl menu in Fench(CA) and i need precisions on some parts of "vcl.po.template" file.

Thank

the VCL web
code!
The web code was not initially written with
doing translations in mind. So,
as you
have already seen, there are many places where translations
are done on
phrases instead of whole
sentences. I've slowly been working on improving
that. There will need to be a number of
updates to the translation files for
the
upcoming 2.4 release.

is correct. It ends up giving something like "The

Go to New Reservations to
request a new
reservation or to Current Reservations to select another one
that is avaiable." My understanding
is that the "to" before "Current
Reservations" is actually optional here.
It can share the "to" before "New
Reservations" or it can have its own
"to".

There are several
phrases above these in the file that are repeated. So, they
are not in the file more than once. This
makes it a little confusing to read
them in
the translation file. It would be helpful to look at how
they are
used in the code by looking around
line 534 in
web/.ht-inc/blockallocations.php.

There is
definitely a problem here. Actually, the word should be
completely
omitted. The correct phrase
should be "version is selected." However,
realize that this is incorrect the the code.
So, the translation file needs
to keep the
typo (in English) in order to cause the phrase to get
translated.
