[jira] Commented: (COMMONSSITE-29) Link Javadocs to official Java API

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COMMONSSITE-29?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12592744#action_12592744 ]

Henri Yandell commented on COMMONSSITE-29:
------------------------------------------

We used to link to them. The problem is that we can't just go linking to Java 6. I don't think there is a single component that depends on Java 6. Others depend on anything from Java 1.2 to 1.5, so it needs to be done per component.

> If some of your policies do not prohibit to link to Sun, enabling hyperlinks to the JRE API docs would be nice.
