To deploy Superset behind nginx, you'll need to configure both Superset and nginx:
**Superset Configuration (`superset_config.py`):**
```python
ENABLE_PROXY_FIX = True
PROXY_FIX_CONFIG = {"x_for": 1, "x_proto": 1, "x_host": 1, "x_port": 1, "x_prefix": 1}
```
**Nginx Configuration:**
```nginx
location / {
proxy_pass http://<superset_ip>:8088/;
proxy_set_header Host $http_host;
proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $scheme;
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_connect_timeout 300;
}
```
**If deploying under a subpath** (e.g., `/superset/`), also add to `superset_config.py`:
```python
APPLICATION_ROOT = '/superset'
STATIC_ASSETS_PREFIX = '/superset'
```
And update nginx:
```nginx
location /superset/ {
proxy_pass http://<superset_ip>:8088/;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Prefix /superset/;
# ... other headers as above
}
```
Note: Path-based deployments are only officially supported in Superset 6.0+ .
**For HTTPS**, ensure `X-Forwarded-Proto` is set (critical to avoid redirect loops), and optionally configure `WEBDRIVER_BASEURL_USER_FRIENDLY = "https://your.domain.com"` for alerting features .
