Ralph Goers commented on LOG4J2-1852:
-------------------------------------

FWIW - LOG4J2-2621 was implemented in 3.0 to have the plugin location mechanism use java.util.ServiceLoader to locate a class containing the plugin definitions. This class can be automatically generated by the annotation processor or manually created.
