[jira] [Created] (MESOS-1759) Provide a registry of Mesos frameworks

Chris Aniszczyk created MESOS-1759:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Provide a registry of Mesos frameworks
                 Key: MESOS-1759
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-1759
             Project: Mesos
          Issue Type: Documentation
          Components: documentation
            Reporter: Chris Aniszczyk

We should provide a better and more scalable registry for Mesos frameworks as the list keeps growing and growing. There's at least a couple of ways this can be done:

* have frameworks that are developed outside the Apache Mesos organization developed in a GitHub organization (similar how to JenkinsCI runs its plugins ecosystem). this would involve shared community ownership and more importantly, have most of the frameworks in one place
* build a online registry where people could publish their frameworks in some fashion and than provide a website where people can search for frameworks by language, tool etc (think more like docker registry)
