Josh Rosen resolved SPARK-4576.

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Going to resolve this as "Won't Fix" for now, since it seems like {{concat}} handles this for us and we won't want to have a diverge of behavior between our Hive and non-Hive dialects. Please comment / re-open if I'm mistaken here or if you'd like to discuss further (or if you'd just like to voice your support for this feature).
