Hello, I have the same problem with apache 1.3.27 + mod_ssl on Solaris 8 Sparc.
I figured out that apache crashes on directory listing only when there are files
with spaces in filename in the directory. If I move away those files all works fine.
This is a piece of my error log:
[Sun Mar 30 13:44:28 2003] [notice] child pid 22130 exit signal Bus Error (10)
[Sun Mar 30 13:44:35 2003] [notice] child pid 22127 exit signal Bus Error (10)
