   The narrowed scope agreed in this thread has landed. #5161 (`11b93d111`) added the explicit managed WSL Host handoff — `apps/desktop/src/main/runtime-host-wsl-handoff.ts` with the handoff surface and blockers wired at `apps/desktop/src/main/runtime-host-boot.ts:1403` — and #5175 (`a49ba7544`) followed up so a failed recovery points at the diagnostic instead of implying a retry will repair it. Closing as completed; general WSL/SSH version governance was explicitly out of scope here.
