Jmeter Record & Playback some activities in a server using
Putty/WinSCP/Filezilla
Hi All,
I would like to record activities (edit files) in a server via WinSCP. Is Jmeter available to record and playback activities other than web page? If yes, please suggest any sampler and steps to do so.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Shenoy

Maybe you could use OS Process Sampler

No - the recorder is an http proxy. You do get TCP tunnels that record and
you could convert that to a JMeter script - but thats not OOTB.

Shenoy,
If you just want to upload or download file, jmeter will
be able to perform that.
If you want to scp download/upload and/or modify the file
on server, I believe jMeter is not the right tool.
tcl/expect/capistrano and similar tools can help you, but
obviously they will not be able to run stress/performance
test.
Thanks and Regards,
Manish
