Usability of new Configuration Objects

I recently upgraded to the new Configuration objects in
Cocoon.  I have to admit, the type-safe return values and
not throwing too many exceptions really makes it alot
friendlier to work with.

They are small changes, but overall, it makes code more
readable, and less obtrusive.
