This caught my eye. Is there a use case for this or is this a boondoggle? 

The scenario you provided seems to be setting messages through ZK properties. Is this a need or just a nice to have ?  Why can't we store this information in the monitor itself? a flat file? Seems like that would be a specific use case that is easy to address.
