Sorry about that, I will be little more careful about it. Actually I started
the conversation on both dev and user list. and I got reply only though dev
list. Hence this thread in dev list.

Sorry about it. I will start the same thread in user list.

thanks
Rakesh

rakesh, in case you haven't noticed, your questions are deliberately
being ignored on the dev list because they have absolutely nothing to do
with lenya development and belong on the user list.
please respect basic netiquette, choose the appropriate forum and write
your mails a little more carefully so that people know what you want to
accomplish and where the problem really is.

if you want to insert an external website into a tab, you will have to
parse it and separate the content from the html headers. in order to be
able to do that with cocoon, the external page needs to be valid xml. if
it isn't, you might want to read about the HTMLGenerator.

the cleanest way to solve the lenya side of the problem is to introduce
your own custom doctype for it, check the wiki for how it's done.
the "document" might contain only a custom tag with a URL that you want
inserted into your page. the doctype sitemap will parse that, feed it as
a src="" param to the HTML generator, pipe it through a stylesheet that
will extract the relevant part (i.e. the content of <body/>) and
serialize it as xml.

that way, you can even edit those external page urls with the oneform
editor. (i do a similar thing for xml database content, where the
document contains an xquery that cen be edited easily with oneform.)

Re: External web page

I am not able to add script tag using "One form editor" or any other editor.
But if i manually change the document it works fine.

Now the another problem is setting window.location will change the content
of this window...but what i want is i want to change content of particular
tab only.

One way i could think of is...instead of script tag...use IFrame, so i added

<IFRAME SRC="http://www.google.com" frameborder="no" scrolling="auto"
width="100%" height="338"></IFRAME>

Can anyone suggest any other better way.

thanks
Rakesh

In 1.2, I manually edited the live sitemap.
FILE: {pub}/content/live/sitetree.xml
<node href="http://solprovider.com" id="solprovider" visibleinnav="true">
	<label xml:lang="en">Solprovider</label>
</node>

Another method is to create a Document, and put some JavaScript on the
page in Source mode:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JAVASCRIPT">
window.location = "http://solprovider.com";
</SCRIPT>

In 1.3, external links are just another Resource. The editor for the
"link" Resource type works well, but you want to wait until the XML
editor (for documents) and Structure editor (for hierarchical
sitetrees) are ready before using 1.3.

Someone else can answer for 1.4.
