Relationship end2 attribute not mapped to entity attribute

With new way of defining relationship, end2 attribute is not mapped to entity attribute when defined. In case of end1  attribute is mapped to an entity attribute.

Wanted to understand, if this is by design. Happy to provide a failing test case.
