[users@httpd] How to get .CRT file

Can any one guide me how to create the .CRT file .cer 

I got my .cer file from verisign. I read somewhere
copy .cer to .CRT works, but i am cheking my current
working system where .CRT is different than .CER

I am using openssl on AIX 5.1
