[jira] [Created] (FLUME-2020) Document Single-Source, Multi-Channel
Use Case for Preferential Routing of Events
Israel Ekpo created FLUME-2020:
----------------------------------
Summary: Document Single-Source, Multi-Channel Use Case for Preferential Routing of Events
Key: FLUME-2020
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLUME-2020
Project: Flume
Issue Type: Documentation
Components: Channel, Configuration, Docs
Affects Versions: v1.3.1, v1.3.0, v1.4.0
Reporter: Israel Ekpo
Assignee: Israel Ekpo
Priority: Minor
This task documents a particular use case that was discussed in the user mailing list.
The user was streaming in events from a SpoolingDirectorySource and needed to write events to multiple channels but selectively route the events to different channels base on the contents of the event.
His approach provided a workaround that solves this problem.

We should add this documentation to the wiki as part of a tutorial and then add it to the UserGuide if necessary.
