> We can, and should, remove the buildnumber-maven-plugin. It was originally added to track different SNAPSHOT versions between releases, to ease debugging. However, I don't believe that is a situation that is likely to happen, or should be supported if it does. Using SNAPSHOT builds should be "at your own risk" and unsupported.
