hadoop on Windows

hello,
how to start hadoop on Windows?
bin/start-all.sh can't be executed on Windows,so how to ?

No. Currently, Hadoop assumes too much unix stuff to run natively.

Cygwin is easy to install.

And very useful for lots of things other than hadoop.

It takes about 4 mouse clicks to install.  Just do it!

Have you installed cygwin? Cywin's a required component for Hadoop to run on
Windows.
