the shelltest profile is enabled by default.

All it does is tell me off for not having the test tools installed.

I did actually install them briefly, only to find it went on to ignore the {{-Dtest=}} feature for single-junit-test-case runs. So it's actually counterproductive during iterative development.

How about we change it to being inactive; jenkins, people working on scripts and the release build can enable it.
