[jira] [Created] (OOZIE-657) Switch to git, or at least provide helpers

Switch to git, or at least provide helpers
------------------------------------------

                 Key: OOZIE-657
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OOZIE-657
             Project: Oozie
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Harsh J

Contributing to Oozie with SVN is rather painful. Like other projects in the ecosystem Oozie caters to, we ought to move to git, or at least make it easier for git-mirror using contributors to post patches.

Pain points:
* Reviewboard does not have an oozie-git project to use for this.
* Reviewboard requires a base url for Oozie patches ALWAYS. I find this mighty irritating. This is so very unintelligent... But I guess its gonna be this way with SVN project in RB. Fixing point above will remove this pain for me (and hopefully others out there).

Is this something you'll accept? I can help if you do.
