[jira] Created: (JS2-446) extend installer with console capabilities

extend installer with console capabilities
------------------------------------------

         Key: JS2-446
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JS2-446
     Project: Jetspeed 2
        Type: Wish
  Components: Installer
    Reporter: Jacek Wislicki
    Priority: Trivial

I would be very useful if the Jetspeed installer could work in a simple text environment.

Jacek:
Try it :-) It's based on antinstaller (http://
antinstaller.sourceforge.net/) which can do exactly that. I
believe it automatically detects the ability to run a swing GUI. I
don't know if there is a way to _force_ CUI in the case of available
GUI. (if you find a way please report back ) However I have
installed on a headless linux system.
