   If you can give me instructions to reproduce that would be great. We test the binaries nightly with a [debian `rocker` image](https://github.com/ursa-labs/arrow-r-nightly/blob/master/.github/workflows/test-binary.yml#L26) and they don't segfault there. Happy to add another Docker image to the test matrix if it uncovers some bad behavior we can fix.
   
   > Iif there is an alternate build way you'd want to test let me know. Else if I need Arrow I may just rely on an RSPM build.
   
   If you want to skip the prebuilt binary, set `LIBARROW_BINARY=false`. Though using RSPM seems fine too if that works for you.
