svn 1.2-rc2 soon?
(I'm back from my east-coast travels... feel free to ask me in IRC!)
It looks to me like we've easily achieved "critical mass" for a second
1.2 release candidate. I see quite a number of important bugfixes and
things going on in the 1.2.x STATUS file.
What do folks think about releasing a 1.2.0-rc2 tarball on Friday?
Note: we might very well want to restart the soak. Let that be a
separate discussion thread. I think doing an rc2 on Friday is still a
good idea, whether we restart the soak or not.

Unfortunately, it turns out I'm not going to be able to do that release
tomorrow. Or at least I could but I'd really rather not. I'm just now
heading to bed (4 am my time) and figure I'm going to take tomorrow to
sleep in and recuperate.
Cutting the release on Friday doesn't really make a whole lot of sense
anyway. We need to collect signatures and it's mostly going to sit
around all weekend because people seem to want to do another things with
their weekends.
So I'm doing rc2 on Monday unless there's a slew of objections when I
finally drag myself in front of the computer tomorrow sometime.
