Slack channel for reef

Hi Folks,
Several of the open source projects I’m involved in use slack as an efficient means of discussion and communication, is there any interest in doing this for reef.  For the reef on spark initiative I sometimes need some ears on some design related items and am not sure the dev list is the right place.

Hi,

we actually tried that some time ago, and it did not attract much
attention. One major concern for ASF projects is that all technical
decisions of consequence have to be done on the mailing list. Hence, the
Slack channel would really just be for, well, slack time conversations :)

Thanks for the suggestion.
If there's enough interest in having a slack channel, we can set up one.
