Date for 1.2beta-1 freeze

I think we should set a definate time for a 1.2 feature freeze. There
was talk about it being today, but nothing else.

We also need to divide-up/sign-up-for document writes.

How about a feature freeze of Sept 11, 1996 0:00GMT.

And if someone could write up a list of docs, we could look
over and see what needs to be done. I've got some time :)
