[jira] Updated: (DERBY-2090) Broken link in Reference manual

Kim Haase updated DERBY-2090:
-----------------------------

    Attachment: DERBY-2090.diff
                DERBY-2090.zip

Fixed the broken link. I think I found a better URL: http://java.sun.com/javase/reference/api.jsp links to the API docs for various versions of Java SE. I also made the link external instead of local, so it opens in a separate window.

The zip file contains the new HTML file.

I was puzzled by a sentence further down in the file: "In addition, Derby provides three methods for XADataSource, DataSource, and ConnectionPoolDataSource." I can't think what three methods these might be, since Derby turns each of these interfaces into two (ClientXADataSource and EmbeddedXADataSource, etc.) and each of the six interfaces has from two to 11 methods. Is there any way to clarify this while we are fixing this file?

> In the section "javax.sql: JDBC Extensions" in the Reference manual the following link:
> http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/jdbc20.stdext.javadoc/javax/sql/package-summary.html
> is no longer valid.
> It could possibly be replaced with:
> http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/javax/sql/package-summary.html
> or maybe even better just be removed.
