[I] Does not Build (macOS) [kvrocks]

andymans opened a new issue, #3046:
URL: https://github.com/apache/kvrocks/issues/3046

   ### Search before asking

   - [x] I had searched in the [issues](https://github.com/apache/kvrocks/issues) and found no similar issues.

   ### Version

   Guys you have a problem in your build.

   It may be related to #2874

   On macOS your script performs a large number of checks to determine if e.g. stdlib.h, string.h exist...these checks ALL pass.

   Further on in your script the checks fail e.g.

   ```
   clang: warning: no such sysroot directory: '-DXXH_NAMESPACE=LZ4_' [-Wmissing-sysroot]
   lz4.c:224:11: fatal error: 'stdlib.h' file not found
   ```

   The fact that I'm seeing this error...means it has passed all your internal tests...and that is extremely worrying

   ### Minimal reproduce step

   Start a build on a freshly cloned repo on macOS 14.x

   ### What did you expect to see?

   An executable

   ### What did you see instead?

   An error

   ### Anything Else?

   _No response_

   ### Are you willing to submit a PR?

   - [ ] I'm willing to submit a PR!

   I thought this may have been a Mac issue; but have tested. It's a build problem and from my research, it seems to be an issue specifically related to lz4. Happened roughly at 6% through the build.

   @andymans Great to hear you've resolve this issue on your side. And you can use `clang -v -x c -c /dev/null -o /dev/null 2>&1 | grep -A 5 '^Target:'` to inspect the SDKs version which is used in clang. I just forgot asking you to run this.

   Wait - I discovered it *is* a Mac issue after all.

   Here's the problem & solution for the benefit of other users:

   Apple has pushed an install of the MacOSX15.sdk as part of its recent 'XCode' updates.

   This means that if you are still running e.g. Sonoma 14.6.1 (i.e have not migrated to Sequoia) you have a problem that, for certain builds, the MacOSX15.0.sdk is invoked and it will attempt to build for an incompatible OS version!

   For those of us facing this issue, a *working* solution is to kickstart the build with a flag appended:

   `./x.py build -DCMAKE_OSX_SYSROOT=/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX14.5.sdk`

   Another (better) solution may be to migrate the latest OS version (Sequoia) unless you have compelling reasons not to do so.

   @andymans Thanks for your feedback.

   > clang: warning: no such sysroot directory: '-DXXH_NAMESPACE=LZ4_' [-Wmissing-sysroot]

   From your message, the root cause is that clang cannot find the `sysroot` while compiling. Could you please run `ll /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs` and paste the output here? And it would be helpful if you can have a look at what the version of clang is using now from your build message.
