If you are using Prometheus Operator, it would be good depending on your configuration to have a ServiceMonitor as part of the Helm Chart. Have you considered this? Thanks!

We did consider. Not all users use Prometheus and we wanted to limit the number of components.
May be we can have another helm chart or install it based on some flag/helm value
