That's probably because the old history files were still in SVN
(I had removed them locally). Could you give it another try now?

It is much simpler now, especially because the workflow engine does
not care about workflow instances, histories etc. anymore. I threw away
the SynchronizedWorkflowInstance, it wasn't conceptually clean anyway
and just added complexity. Synchronisation should probably be handled
by the WorkflowManager, but it is not yet implemented.
