[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-544) ECCN for Ambari
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-544?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17222614#comment-17222614 ]
Justin Mclean commented on LEGAL-544:
-------------------------------------
INAL but if Ambari is not listed then then it doesn't contain encryption code and doesn't need an ECCN number. I can see it uses AES for authentication but I think that would come under the mass market or public code exception. You might want to double check with the project if this is the case.

> Ambari isn't listed in the export classification matrix (http://www.apache.org/licenses/exports/). Has an ECCN been determined for this product?
> Thank you.
