[jira] Created: (OFBIZ-2036) Please make it possible to download the SQL Scripts that create OFBiz database

Please make it possible to download the SQL Scripts that create OFBiz database
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: OFBIZ-2036
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-2036
             Project: OFBiz
          Issue Type: Wish
            Reporter: Francisco Peredo

A lot can be learned about how OFBiz was built (and about how ERPs in general are built) by seeing the database design, but right now, it is not possible to take a look at an updated version of the Ofbiz datamodel, it it has not been upgraded since 2002 ( OFBIZ-2035) and the files are in Visio Format. I think the best format to share this information in a way that can easily be seen by anyone regradless of their diagramming platform is to share the data model as the SQL DDL, Could you please make it possible to easily download it?

BJ Freeman commented on OFBIZ-2036:
-----------------------------------

These type requests are best done in the user Mailing list.
http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBADMIN/Mailing+Lists
in ofbiz the database is not built first, ofbiz entities define what the database will be.
here is a good place to start

if you want to get familar with the datamodel read
