How to increase query performance | Socket timeout Exception on running few queries

Hi All,

I need some information on the different parameters that can be tuned to
increase the query performance in Kylin like any specific setting in Hbase
or any parameter changes in any configuration file.

Some observations are below.
Below configuration value is present in server.xml
<Connector port="7070" protocol="HTTP/1.1"
                   *connectionTimeout=“20000"*
                   redirectPort="9443"
                   compression="on"
                   compressionMinSize="2048"
                   noCompressionUserAgents="gozilla,traviata"

 compressableMimeType="text/html,text/xml,text/javascript,application/javascript,application/json,text/css,text/plain"
                />

Here timeout value is 20000 and initially some queries were failing and I
thought this timeout value needs to be increased to run it successfully. So
I increased this value from 20000 to 60000 and restarted Kylin and now the
query ran fine.

Now in next instance I again set *connectionTimeout=10000 from 60000 *and I
was expecting the query to fail again but this time it passed which was
surprising.

Then I again changed this value to 190000 but this time it failed.

I am confused now.
