Cannot reproduce.  OpenOffice does have auto-save.  That is what auto-recovery
is based on.  In general we ask for bug reports only to the issue tracker, with
specific steps on reproducing the bug.  For general support queries we
recommend the community support forum at http://forum.openoffice.org
