host IP

In the current tomcat nightly builds, the http server reports
the host IP adress as 127.0.0.1 and the hostname as localhost.
(using the snoop servlet)

Is this a known problem?  Is there something to configure?
(this is on RedHat 6.1 using ibm jdk 1.1.8 GA)
